5 Ways To Nail That Professional Look At Beauty School

5 Ways To Nail That Professional Look At Beauty School

Every second spent at beauty school is your moment to shine. Aside from the classes you’ll take and the friends you’ll make, it’s a constant excuse to work on your look – the personal brand that encompasses how you dress, accessorise and carry yourself on the job. Are you just about to start beauty training? Or hoping to refresh your appearance mid-course? Follow La Beeby’s five style tips for beauty school outfits.

Spice up a black beauty uniform

Most courses require you to stick to a co-ordinated outfit. If it’s monochrome, black never lets you down. You may want more distinction though, and in this case, try a coloured trim around the neckline.

Pink, blue or green can pop against a black canvas. It’s noticeable without taking over the beauty uniform. That extends to ziplines too – take a look at our Eve and Juliette salon tunics for inspiration.

Match cropped trousers and bow shoes

You have to wear flats to college – there’s no getting around it, really. But a bit of embellishment can go a long way. Shoes with a bow add a feminine dimension to your look, whilst a pair of cropped trousers keep you airy and casual when you’re on your feet for hours.

White and black is a popular combo for beauty courses. Try black bow footwear and a white cropped trouser, with some tasteful gold jewellery on your wrists. Who says you can’t be both comfy and stylish?

Use metallic makeup that suits your skin tone

Copper, silver, gold and bronze can leave a stunning impression when they’re used sparingly on your face. However, whether that works or not depends on your skin – certain colours can both enhance or overwhelm your look.

Experiment with metallic tones until you’re happy. A copper ‘cat eye’ or a hint of bronzer on your cheeks can strike the right balance between glamorous and professional.

Leave the miniskirts at home

Chances are your beauty school has rules about how short your bottom wear can be. So instead of a skirt that’s half a foot above your knees, invest in a beauty dress.

We have plenty of flattering cuts. Angled necklines give you something to flaunt, while nipped-in waists can emphasise your figure – whatever style you choose, you can be certain that all our dresses are breathable and built to last.

Add diamante to your wardrobe

Diamante details are a popular way to draw attention to your waist or neck. They can line the edges of the material or form a pattern; there are several styles to choose from.

As long as it’s subtle, diamante should be a winner. Try our Karla Diamante or Sophia tunics to turn heads in class.

With La Beeby on your side, you can have an entire work uniform wardrobe ready for beauty college – one you can be proud of. Speak to us for advice, comparisons and on-trend picks before heading through those school doors.
